Who is your favourite cyclist?
Jens Voight. That man doesn't know how to quit.
How did you get into cycling or what is your first cycling memory?
Me on my little red bike with coaster brakes, riding with my older brothers (on 10-speeds). I just hit 15mph when I also hit a rock in the road; my dad spent a long time picking the sand and gravel out of my lips and gums with a pair of tweezers.
What is the strangest thing you've eaten while riding?
It wasn't me but one of the guys I was mountain biking with had his pockets stuffed with garlic sausage and cheddar cheese.
What is your worst injury from a crash?
The day I was signing the papers for my first mortgage. I didn't notice that my front tire was going soft and I washed out on a corner. I didn't have time to do a good clean-up so I walked into the bank with massive oozing road rash on my shin and hip.
What is your favourite recipe with SPAM in it?
Plain old pan fried SPAM.
