Climbing Camp

When: Friday June 3rd to Sunday June 5th

Sixteen sleeping spots are booked and available in a dormitory setting. This is not a rustic hostel. Think luxury. If we have additional riders registering after the 16 beds are full additional riders will arrange their own accommodation at the hostel or elsewhere.

Cost: $85.00 includes Hostel accommodation, breakfast both mornings and food for assembling lunches (for the road) both on Saturday and Sunday. The fee also includes our big Saturday night supper at the hostel. Transportation not included (we will car pool).

Conditions of entry: First come, first served. I need a cheque in hand to confirm your spot. Drop off at Velocity Cycle and make sure to fill in the signup sheet.

Activities: Please arrive already fed Friday night at the Hostel!!

These are suggestions only for an itinerary. The rides often are modified dependent upon weather and rider consensus.

Saturday morning we will likely head west down the Kicking horse pass towards Field and perhaps into Takkakaw Falls area and back to Lake Louise. Hardy riders could head off again to Bow Summit. We will then ride the big 40 km descent back to the Hostel (total ride ~140 kms) What follows is a relaxing evening and large spaghetti dinner.

Sunday morning we will pack up everything and ride either east on Highway 1 A to Banff area and back or ride a circuit back to Lake Louise that would include riding Sinclair pass ( the climb from the TransCanada at Castle junction south on the Radium Highway)Ride selection for day two will be dependant on weather
