BMX Racing
Whether you are 5 years of age or 50, you are never too young or old to enjoy the excitement of BMX. Led by provincial champion and long time past president of the Edmonton BMX Association, Shawn Loewen, the Velocity Cycling BMX Race Team is comprised of BMX enthusiasts with a wide range of abilities and interests.
Under Shawn's guidance, the Race Team places an emphasis on family participation, team spirit, and continued development and has become one of the premier BMX teams in Western Canada. Members enjoy access to the local Monday night and Wednesday night racing series, Sunday afternoon practice sessions, and can travel to sanctioned events throughout Alberta and British Columbia. As an additional bonus, riders receive access to the Club's cyclo-cross bikes for cross training opportunities and are eligible to receive reimbursement for race fees at A.B.A. and C.C.A sanctioned events.
